Carousel Fun

Reconnect with your inner child and go on a carousel run! There are some fun carousels in New York to try out!  There is Jane’s Carousel in Brooklyn, the Central Park CarouselLe Carrousel in Bryant Park, and this amazing Sea Glass Carousel in Battery Park.

Relationship Reconnection: Bringing out the inner child can bring you and your spouse closer together as you laugh and remember together. This is a great way to also get relief from the stress in your life. While having fun on the carousels, let your spouse know that you are grateful for them and the things they do.

A Walk In The Sky

Going on a walk can be a fun and relaxing way to spend some quality time together outside. The High Line is a 1.45-mile-long park built on an elevated section of an unused NYC railroad. It's a great opportunity to be in nature AND see some amazing views of the city and of the Hudson River. Take a walk with your spouse along this park and explore everything it has to offer!

Relationship Reconnection: As it's been said before, hold hands! Holding hands with your spouse will establish a more intimate connection. During your walk, tell each other about the things each of you are grateful for. Remembering the smallest things to be grateful for can make you happier and bring you closer together.

Ice Skating at Rockefeller Center

While there are plenty of places to go ice skating in NYC, the most famous of those is the Rockefeller Center, which has been featured in quite a few Christmas movies. Ice skating at Rockefeller Center is one of the city's most celebrated traditions. Take your spouse to the skating rink at the base of the iconic Christmas tree placed in the heart of Rockefeller Center. Make sure to stop by Magnolia bakery across the street afterwards for some delicious hot chocolate to warm up!

Relationship Reconnection: Remember to hold hand to create a more intimate connection. Holding hands also has the added benefits of being able to support each other keep each other warm!  While skating or drinking hot chocolate, make a winter bucket list. It's easy to stay inside during the cold winter months but there are so many fun things to do around this great city in the winter. Create a list of things to do with each other during the winter months that you may not be able to do in the city during the summer!

Uncle Gussy's

Get in line for one of Midtown's favorite food trucks.  Uncle Gussy's is one of the best!  They serve authentic Greek cuisine and have parked their food truck in the same spot in Midtown for the last 8 years. Their Tzatziki sauce leaves every customer wanting more! It's quick and affordable, although you will probably have to wait in a long line of hungry businessmen and women but it is well worth the wait.

Relationship Reconnection: Because this is a food truck, you have the option of eating your meal wherever your heart desires. Take your food to a secluded quiet area, if you can find one, and enjoy some private time with your spouse. While you eat, take some time to research the many food trucks that are available in NYC and come up with a list of food trucks to try together.  Here is a great link to NYC Food Trucks. There is an abundance of delicious food trucks here, try to go to at least 1 new food truck every two weeks. These are fun ways to get your meals and gives you the opportunity to try new, authentic foods with your spouse!

Add an activity to this great dinner date if you have some extra time! Check out my blog posts for The MET, Ice Skating at the Rockefeller Center or head to Central Park for some Roller Skating
